Amino Develops AMIPRE AMG 1053: A Low-Expansion Prepolymer Enabling Circular Economy by Repurposing Scraps Across Different Segments
Treated wood offers various benefits, such as protection against pests and easy maintenance. However, working with it also presents challenges, one of the main ones being the proper disposal of scraps, which, due to their chemical treatment, can pose environmental risks.
To address this issue, Amino developed AMIPRE AMG 1053, a low-expansion, single-component prepolymer that enables circular economy practices by repurposing scraps in various segments, such as furniture, decoration, and construction, increasing productivity while reducing costs.
Thanks to its mild expansion properties, AMIPRE AMG 1053 fills all material gaps, ensuring total adhesion and resulting in an agglomerate with excellent rigidity and quick curing. In addition to being non-flammable and non-toxic, AMIPRE AMG 1053 is also water-resistant, meeting the strictest standards, including D4 classification for external applications under DIN EN 204.
One of the standout features of this prepolymer is its versatility. It can be applied not only to treated wood scraps but also to other materials such as paper, MDF, and even expanded PVC.
Specially developed by Amino’s technical team, AMIPRE AMG 1053 can be tailored to meet the production processes of each company.
